I reached out to many of you after the release of “From Photo to Final Painting” finished up last weekend, and I got a lot of feedback about what you were looking for (and how my 12-week intensive might not have been meeting everyone’s needs!). I’ve put the class on pause for 2 weeks, and have been working behind the scenes to pivot my offer. As best I’m able, given my own limits, I would like to meet you all where you’re at. As such, I’ve set up new, cheaper, shorter ways that we can connect through classes!
The quick of it? You can now pick and choose which classes you’d like to enroll in, at a much lower individual price. Or still have the opportunity to enroll in what I’m now calling “The Deep Dive” (the full 12-week course), where you get substantially more exclusive time with me, and can focus more on your own practice. There are a wide variety of price points, and various monthly payment options. I hope it meets the needs of more of you. Read on to learn more! :)

The Basic Differences-
So, as I see it, FPTFP has three simple ways now available for you to participate- “A la Carte”, “The Bundle”, and “The Deep Dive”. What’s great about this new opportunity is that I think it really highlights the benefits of each version of the class.
“A la Carte” means you can enroll in any of the first 5 classes individually. “The Bundle” allows you to purchase them as a set of 5, with 3 or 4 monthly installments as a payment option. “The Deep Dive” is what I’ve always been offering, which is the 12-week intensive. It now includes monthly installment options for 3 or 4 months. Here’s the breakdown—
4 Pillars “A la Carte”-
a sequence of 5x 1-day watercolor events to sneak away to!
access to any pre-recorded preliminary videos made for that module (often 30-60 mins of additional material)
access to the specific 3-hour live zoom class for that module
access to the recording of that class
enrollment continues up until the day before each class
97$ per class, including the recording
pay as you go, if you’d like, or buy various ones at once
4 Pillars “Bundle”-
as above, but it includes all 5 “A la Carte” classes purchased as a unit
simply get all 5 classes for 485$, or…
pay in 3 monthly installments of 178$ for “The Bundle” or
pay in 4 monthly installments of 133$ for “The Bundle”

Who is each option designed for?
A la Carte-
Perhaps you’re on a limited budget and can’t afford to take the whole class, but would still like to participate and learn. Or maybe you can’t make it to all the classes. Or your life is just too busy right now to dig in the way you wish you could. Or you want to pay, bit by bit, as you go. A la carte is for you. When you look at the descriptions in the link, you’ll see how certain modules clearly fit together as “mini-workshops”.
The Bundle-
Perhaps 7 modules over 12 weeks is just too much, but you’d love to do the first 5 modules over 8 weeks. For you, you’ll find the “4 Pillars Bundle” is just right! Want to do all 5 core modules, but feeling a bit pinched financially, month by month? Spread it out over 3 or 4 months!
The Deep Dive-
If you’re ready to really dig in and dedicate 4-8 hours each week to painting, if you want my guidance and critiques every week, and weekly out-of-class assignments designed to help you cement the core principles, The Deep Dive is for you. If you want to push past the core principles of the Four Pillars and spend the final 4 weeks of class focusing more and more on your own reference photos, iterating your paintings and getting my feedback, going deeper into Color Contrasts and The Principles of Composition, then The Deep Dive is for you too. This intensive is really designed to help you start working on your own photos after class has ended. You can pay it all at once, or break it out into 3 or 4 monthly payments too!
Logitistics-
The 5 “A la Carte” options, “The Bundle” and “The Deep Dive” will share the same live Zoom demos. These first 5 classes cover The Four Pillars (Shapes, Edges, Color, and Value), and provide foundational content.
2/11- Live Class 1, 9-12 PST- Shapes- Notans and Editing Reference Photos
2/25- Live Class 2, 9-12 PST- Edges- Wet-into-Wet Painting, pt. 1- The Watercolor Clock, Intro to Wet-Into-Wet Painting
3/11- Live Class 3, 9-12 PST- Edges- Wet-into-Wet Painting, pt. 2- Applied Notans
3/25-Live Class 4, 9-12 PST- Color- Intro to Mixing and Using Color- Navigating the Color Wheel, Color Has Value
4/8- Live Class 5, 9-12 PST- Color- Using Color Contrasts- Warm vs. Cool, Saturation, and Compliments
However, only participants in The Deep Dive will have access to the following live classes. In these classes we dive much deeper into the practice of the students themselves, applying and practicing the core principles on their own reference photos-
4/22- Live Class 6, 9-12 PST- Deeper Into Composition, Using Your Own Reference Photos
5/6- Live Class 7, 9-12 PST- Lab, Exploration, and Wrap Up
Additionally, only participants in The Deep Dive have access to the live, weekly, recorded Q and A sessions with me. Folks who can’t make it can submit their questions ahead of time. This is a great time to go over your results from the weekly painting opportunities I’ll be providing only for the Deep Dive students.

Since class was postponed as I pivoted my offer, I’ll be reopening enrollment for The Deep Dive experience for this week ONLY. So you can still hop in, if that experience sounds exciting and fulfilling to you. It should be awesome! :D I’ll close enrollment for it the day after the first class. So, at that point, if you’ve purchased The Bundle or an A la Carte option, you can still talk to me about an upgrade.
