I made an art-and-poetry book!

IMG_0938.jpg

I printed a book for the show, and I wanted to share about it here. It’s 24 full color pages, includes all the art from the show, and all the poems that were hung in the show, as well as the additional poems shared on this blog. I’ve not done this before, and it’s very exciting to share and make it real. I think Ab would be both embarrassed and proud to have something like this done for him.

I’ve had some folks express an interest in getting a copy. If you want one, please contact me and let me know. It’s all very low key— this is a personal project, and I think anyone buying one of these is doing it for personal reasons too. That matters to me. Currently, I’m just printing them in batches. I have a few hardbound copies for 40$ each, and I’m printing up some softcover copies that are going to cost 20$ each.

I’ll be at the Benicia Plein Air Galery a lot this month, while the show is active. I’ll be there President’s Day weekend, starting on Friday, and I’ll also be there next weekend on Friday and Saturday (February 19th, 20th). The gallery is open 11-5. I’ll have these books for sale there, as well as the art from the show, and additional pieces that I’ll be bringing in with me— new framed work, and older unframed pieces too (figures, florals, etc). I always love visitors, and it’s great to connect with people in person.

We follow all the protocols at the gallery- limited amount of people inside at one time, masks required, etc.- so we try and keep it safe and welcoming. And there’s a heater inside too! :)
